The show includes hit songs from the folk-rock movement, including protest songs like 'Ohio,' 'For What It's Worth' and others, as well as newly composed songs for the modern era, such as Trevor Wheetman's incendiary 'Dangerous Clown' and Sylvie Davidson's 'Can't Stop That Train.'

The play examines his loveless marriage and lack of appetite for the political machinations that would eventually result in his election.

This laugh out loud spoof makes for a night at the theatre that is anything but show business as usual.

The Sim Valley Cultural Arts Center will kick off their DownStage Cabaret Series with the first installment of the High Street Broadcast on Sunday, August 19 at 7:30 pm in the intimate DownStage Theater.  Doors open at 7 pm and the broadcast begins at 7:30 pm. Disney's Classic Film and subsequent Broadway Musical are not easy to recreate and to do justice to as well, both to the animated film version and the original stage production. Five Star Theatricals has opened this past weekend at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza/Kavli Theatre with a most lavish, charming and authentic version! I had the opportunity to speak with the Choreographer, Cheryl Baxter, of this delightful musical, and learned what it takes to be able to tackle this type of exciting but daunting project. I was not at all surprised to learn that it takes a careers'-worth of experience and dedication to be at this level.
