David Ives’ Venus in Fur is a delightful romp that marries wit with seduction in a sharp examination of power dynamics. Set during an audition, the play centers on Thomas, a beleaguered playwright, and Vanda, an audacious actress who flips the script—quite literally—on gender roles. With a heady mix of clever banter and risqué humor, Vanda's playful command turns the rehearsal into a deliciously chaotic exploration of desire and identity.
