Building off the skills she learned in the American Idol spotlight, Katharine has gone on to record three albums, with a fourth to be released later this year. Additionally, she landed numerous supporting roles in movies and television, most notably the Broadway musical drama, Smash, in which she played the lead role of Karen Cartwright. With her girl next-door charm and outstanding vocal talent, Katharine McPhee is sure to be a household name and a star to keep your eye on!

Florida Studio Theatre Extends SPAMALOT Through 1/25

Due to popular demand, Florida Studio Theatre announces an additional extension of the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot, book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. This musical that put the comedy back into musical comedy will continue to run in FST'S Gompertz Theatre through January 25, 2014. The full schedule of classes and instructors has been announced for the new Performing Arts Conservatory at Manatee Performing Arts Center. The semester starts January 6th and runs through May 31st. Instructors include Cynthia Ashford, Teri Booth, Wendy James Brown, Michael DeMocko, Kyle Ann Lacertosa, Martine Moore, Geena Ravella, Holly Rizzo, Carlo Thomas and Katie Zanders.

Florida Studio Theatre announces the completion of its fifth theatre, Bowne's Lab. The new Bowne's Lab represents the final phase in FST's Capital Campaign. FST's newest theatre will house Improv programming, Adult Education Performances, Apprentice Company projects, and all things new and experimental.

Previews for this ferocious production will be held January 15 - 16, opening night will be on January 17 at 8pm, and the show will run through February 27. FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Director/Associate Artistic Director of Asolo Rep Greg Leaming will be at the helm of this five-time 2012 Tony Award-nominated production. OTHER DESERT CITIES, a 2012 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, had its Off Broadway premiere in January 2011 and transferred to Broadway in November 2011.
