freeFall's END OF THE RAINBOW Announces Extension
Due to overwhelming pre-sales and a sold-out opening weekend, freeFall Theatre is extending END OF THE RAINBOW through June 4.
freeFall Theatre continues their season of plays and musicals inspired by true stories with Peter Quilter's END OF THE RAINBOW opening April 29 and running through June 4. Tickets are already selling quickly for this exciting production that triumphed in London's West End in 2010/2011 and on Broadway in 2012.
End of the Rainbow stars Carbonell award and Theatre Tampa Bay award winner Melissa Minyard (freeFall's THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, Broadway's LES MISERABLES) as Judy Garland, Michael Ursua (nationally acclaimed actor, singer, pianist and musical director) as Anthony and Robert Teasdale (freeFall's ASSASSINS) as Mickey Deans. The 4-person cast also includes freeFall favorite Daniel Schwab and a 6-piece band. END OF THE RAINBOW follows Judy Garland as she makes her explosive London comeback at the height of the swinging sixties. This fiercely funny and emotionally charged play finds the once glittering star sparring with her new fiancé, her devoted accompanist, and her own demons.
END OF THE RAINBOW is a two-act play with music that also features Garland's most memorable songs The Man That Got Away, Come Rain Or Come Shine, The Trolley Song and of course Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
