Washington & Eisenstadt to Present BROADWAY BENT at Carrollwood Cultural Center
On Friday and Saturday nights, February 3rd and 4th, Washington and Eisenstadt will present 'Broadway Bent', a celebration of Broadway musicals with a bend.
Audiences will enjoy the party like atmosphere and featured full service open bar, while some of the best musical theatre performers in the Tampa Bay area sing popular pieces from favorite Broadway musicals while mingling with the audience. The bend? All the songs have had their genders bent. Men are singing women's songs and women singing men's. Leading ladies become leading men, guys become dolls, dames become gents. It's Broadway..... Bent!
To support literature and the arts in local classrooms, producers will be donating a portion of each ticket sold through DonorsChoose.org. Performances will be held in The Studio @ The Carrollwood Cultural Center.
"This is going to be a truly unique experience from the moment the audience walks in the door until they exit with a smile and singing some of the many songs from the evening. Sipping specialty drinks while the ladies bring forth their machismo belting out 'There is Nothin Like a Dame' from South Pacific to the men channeling their sultry performing 'Cell Block Tango' from Chicago giving it all they got. We are planning this like you would any celebration this just happens to be a celebration of Broadway with a bend." - Aaron Washington
"Broadway Bent" will be presented by Washington and Eisenstadt on Friday February 3rd and Saturday February 4th at 8pm. The party will be held in The Studio @ The Carrollwood Cultural Center located at 13345 Casey Rd in Tampa. Admission is priced at $30.
