Una Voce: Gay Men's Chorus Tampa Bay to Honor Veterans with 'Testament Of Freedom'

By: Oct. 31, 2017

"We fight not for glory or for conquest. We exhibit to mankind the remarkable spectacle of a people attacked by unprovoked enemies, without any imputation or even suspicion of offense. They boast of their privileges and civilization, and yet proffer no milder conditions than servitude or death."

These words, and others from Thomas Jefferson, will be featured in Una Voce: The Gay Men's Chorus of Tampa Bay's concert, "Testament of Freedom" November 11 & 12, 2017. The central work of the same name was composed by Randall Thompson and will be featured along with other works of Americana and patriotism. Now again, these principles are so very important in our current political climate. We must be ever vigilant in protecting our freedoms and rights.

Led by conductor Joseph Caulkins, Una Voce: The Gay Men's Chorus of Tampa Bay, joined by the Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds and Choirs of Palm Harbor University High School, will perform at the University of South Florida Concert Hall in Tampa and the Palladium Theatre in St. Petersburg. Una Voce thank all veterans and military personnel for their service.

Performances on:

Tickets: $40 for early admission; $20 general admission; and $5 for individuals with a valid, current student ID and FREE to Veterans and those with Military ID

TICKETS may be purchased at: gmctb.org.
