This happy go lucky view of small town vice and statewide political side-stepping recounts the good times and the demise of the Chicken Ranch, known since the 1850s as one of the better pleasure palaces in all of Texas. Governors, senators, mayors, and even victorious college football teams frequent Miss Mona's cozy bordello until that puritan nemesis Watchdog focuses his television cameras and his righteous indignation on the institution. Based on a true story by author Larry King, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS enjoyed a four year run on Broadway and numerous national tours.

THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS does contain strong language and sexual situations. All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds.

The show stars Michele Spears, who last appeared at the Manatee Performing Arts Center as 'Princess Puffer' in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, as 'Miss Mona', Adam Baker as 'Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd' and Rodd Dyer as 'Melvin P. Thorpe'. Other principals include John Andruzzi, Phyllis Banks, Sarah Cassidy, Rachel Knowles and David Cox. A large ensemble completes the cast.

The show is being directed and choreographed by Rick Kerby with Teresa O'Connell as musical director.
