Peking Acrobats Coming to Van Wezel, 3/20
By: Tyler Peterson
One of the premiere Chinese acrobatic companies in the world today and a definite family favorite, The Peking Acrobats make a triumphant return to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Sunday, March 20th at 7:00pm. A troupe of China's most gifted tumblers, contortionists, jugglers, cyclists and gymnasts complemented by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments will bring their 2,000-year-old tradition of acrobatics to Sarasota.
The Peking Acrobats present new, exciting acts and innovative twists on old favorites on this tour, celebrating thirty years of awe-inspiring entertainment in 2016, the Year of the Monkey. For their 30th Anniversary Tour, The Peking Acrobats will be pulling out all the stops, and marking this incredible milestone with their most memorable production to date. Featuring the acrobats performing their exceptional brand of artistry in beautiful costumes, with dazzling special effects, and live musicians expertly playing exotic traditional Chinese instruments, The Peking Acrobats are sure to amaze!
Tickets are $15-$45 and are available at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368.
