Asolo Reperatory Theatre's Dramaturg and Literary Manager Lauryn Sasso will guide a special behind-the-scenes discussion featuring Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Frank Galati, director of Philadelphia, Here I Come! Tickets for this insightful discussion are $5 for the general public and free for Asolo Rep donors and Guild members.

January's Inside Asolo Rep features Philadelphia, Here I Come! director Frank Galati, the director of last season's acclaimed production of 1776, which went on to open this season at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Galati has also directed My Fair Lady and Twelve Angry Men at Asolo Rep. A member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, over the years Galati has received nine Joseph Jefferson Awards for his work in Chicago theater: one for acting, five for directing and three for writing. He won two Tony Awards in 1990 for his adaptation and direction of The Grapes of Wrath on Broadway, and was again nominated in 1998 for directing the musical Ragtime. In 1989, Mr. Galati was nominated for an Academy Award for his screenplay (with Lawrence Kasdan) of The Accidental Tourist.

The discussion will take place Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 11am at Asolo Rep's Cook Theatre. The theatre is located at 5555 North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, Florida.
