American Stage Theatre Company is holding the Grand Opening of its new performance space, the Raymond James Theatre, the first new building built for a professional theatre in Tampa Bay history, Saturday, May 30 from 6 to 9 pm.

Program Schedule for Media Coverage:

6:00-6:30pm Valet cars at red carpet entrance on 3rd Street North. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres served by the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club

6:20pm Tom James cuts the ribbon to the door to the theatre

6:30pm Tours given of Raymond James Theatre

7:45pm Program begins in theatre
§ Todd Olson welcomes crowd
§ Evan Whittle speaks of the project from inception to the opening
§ Dr. Carl Kuttler, St. Petersburg College speaks about the partnership
§ Mayor Rick Baker speaks about the Arts Hub
§ Todd acknowledges past donors and all who have named spaces (lobby, concessions, stage, gallery, etc.), and asks all who have named seats or joined the 229 Club to stand and take a bow.
§ Tom James declares the new Raymond James Theater officially open for business

Attendance is by invitation only. Invitations can be requested from Angela Bond at 727-823-1600 x. 203. Tickets are $150 and attire is formal black tie.

American Stage Theatre Company at the Raymond James Theatre is located at 163 3rd Street North in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.

American Stage Theatre Company is a not-for-profit professional regional theatre founded in 1977.
