Sydney Fringe Comedy is back for its eighth year to present the best in new comedy with a jam-packed line-up of emerging and established comedians. From the team behind the Sydney Comedy Festival, Sydney Fringe Comedy will take place at The Factory Theatre from Tuesday 28th August to Sunday 30th September.
Over 100 acts from Australia and overseas will feature in the month-long program which boasts promising up-and-coming comedic talent alongside established performers presenting new, and in many cases, never-before-seen shows and material.
During the Festival, The Factory Theatre will be transformed into a lively hub with up to 20 shows performed across five venues every night, plus music, food and drinks in the Factory Courtyard.
Since its inception, Sydney Fringe Comedy has hosted debut performances from hundreds of comedians, many of which have gone on to win prestigious awards and establish themselves in the industry including Aaron Chen (Best Newcomer – Sydney Comedy Festival and MICF 2017), Corey White (Best Newcomer – MICF 2015), Rhys Nicholson (Barry Award Nominee – MICF 2016), Rose Matafeo (Barry Award Nominee – 2018), and Ronny Chieng (Senior Correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show).
