Afterglow at Belvoir St Theatre

Afterglow is a Griffin Theatre Company and Purple Tape Productions production written by Sheanna Parker Russon and Lillian M. Hearne, performed entirely in four-part a capella harmony. Set at the traditional post-competition gathering following the Barbershop Singing National Championships, the story follows Michael and Tom, who meet at the 2012 afterglow and whose relationship evolves over six years from heated debate to something tender and complex. As the two men navigate their twenties and encounter major awakenings, they must also reckon with the strict musical and social rules of the barbershop world.
