We believe that through theatre anyone can become a successful, contributing member of the global community, and that theatre is an essential asset to the university’s culture and curriculum. Our courses, productions and relationships work together to develop students who analyze incisively, feel deeply, create boldly and interact responsibly. In 1999, David Temple claimed he discovered his eight-month-pregnant wife, Belinda Temple, shot dead inside their home. Despite two murder trials and two juries finding David guilty of Belinda's murder, he's once again awaiting sentencing, 20 years after her death. With his bail set at $1 million, Belinda's family is also waiting for justice decades after the terrible tragedy changed their lives forever. “20/20” extensively follows David's most recent trial and reports on a twist in the case involving Riley Joe Sanders III, Belinda's neighbor and student at the time of her murder. Defense attorneys alleged at trial he shot Belinda with a shotgun he secretly took from his father, but Sanders denies any involvement in her murder and was cleared as a suspect during the investigation into her death. Correspondent Deborah Roberts reports for “20/20” on Friday, Nov. 1 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

Winners Announced For the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's National Young Composers Competition

For the third year, The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) conducted a nationwide search to name the three winners in the PYO Young Composers Competition. All participants submitted original orchestral scores. The winners were selected by PYO's music director, Maestro Louis Scaglione, and the director of the Young Composers Competition, Sheridan Seyfried, who is a Philadelphia-based composer, a PYO alumnus and a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music where he studied with Richard Danielpour, Jennifer Higdon and Ned Rorem.

Florida Studio Theatre Announces 36th Burdick Reading Series

Florida Studio Theatre announces its 36th annual Richard and Betty Burdick New Play Reading Series, which will present three new staged readings by modern American playwrights. Part of FST's Sarasota Festival of New Plays, this three-day series will take place in Bowne's Lab Theatre on April 29, May 6, and May 13 at 3 PM each day. This series is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.
