Welcome to the Baylor School of Music, a place where future professionals are nourished and trained. It is a place for serious musicians who are resolute about pursuing new frontiers and who are not afraid to challenge musical conventions.
Baylor School of Music is a comprehensive program
• providing a thorough background of music training based on an understanding of history, theory, and practical application in the various fields of music;
• offering performance experiences of the highest quality;
• enhancing the intellectual and cultural life of the community.
The Baylor School of Music consists of approximately 400 students studying with over 60 full-time faculty members and up to 20 supplemental professional adjuncts. We are large enough to offer a comprehensive program in virtually all aspects of music, yet small enough to devote individual attention to each student.
