Pacific University's Theatre program combines practical experience with rigorous academics. Students can major or minor in Theatre, or simply participate in courses and shows. The program provides opportunities to perform, design, write plays, direct, and study the literature and history of world theatre.
Theatre at Pacific provides students with a well-rounded liberal arts education that can lead to highly collaborative, creative careers. Theatre graduates from Pacific University go on to work in a variety of fields, including arts management, performance and production, teaching, law, or any other field that values communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival has announced it will return in 2026 with its previously planned 2025 season, including Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing, and a world premiere adaptation of The Beaux’ Stratagem. A recovery plan is now in place, beginning with a September 27 kickoff event at the Hilberry Gateway in Detroit. Tickets at wsushows.com.
