Mississippi Moon is St. Louis' very own tribute to the music of the Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald.

Attention all Blues, Classic Rock, Yacht Rock, Americana and Music Lovers of all genres!

The Doobie Brothers are a legendary American rock band formed in San Jose, California, in 1970, and are known for their vocal harmonies and dynamic live performances. The band is highly unique for achieving massive commercial success across two distinct eras, driven by two different frontmen.

The Tom Johnston Era (Early 1970s): Built on a foundation of driving acoustic guitars, dual-lead electric guitars, and a powerful double-drummer rhythm section. This era produced high-energy rock, country-rock, and boogie staples like "Listen to the Music," "Long Train Runnin'," "China Grove," and the chart-topping "Black Water".

The Michael McDonald Era (Late 1970s–Early 1980s): When Johnston sidelined due to health issues, keyboardist Michael McDonald joined the group. He shifted the band's direction toward a slick, soulful blend of West Coast soft rock, blue-eyed soul, and R&B, resulting in massive hits like "Takin' It to the Streets" and the Grammy-winning "What a Fool Believes"

The WSIE Music Series celebrates regional musicians and brings live music experiences to audiences across the Metro East and St. Louis region. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
