By:

STAGES ST. LOUIS today announced new additions to the administrative staff. Kristen Goodman assumed the position of Marketing Director in April, James Compton recently began as Manager of Individual Giving and Events, and Susan Mintz has been promoted to the role of Development Director.

“I am excited to lead the Development Department during such a dynamic period of growth for the organization,”Susan Mintz remarked. “Our 25th Anniversary Season, celebrated in 2011, saw such great community support. We look forward to renewing and deepening these relationships in the coming years.” Susan Mintz became Development Director in January 2012, having joined the administrative staff as Assistant Development Director in July 2010. Susan holds an M.A. in Germanic Languages & Literatures from Washington University-St. Louis, and a joint M.S. in Ecology and Science Education from Portland State University. She returned to St. Louis in 2004 to become Outreach Coordinator at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Beginning in 2006, Susan served five years as Executive Director of The Green Center, an educational organization that provides hands-on instruction integrating science and the arts. In this role, Susan oversaw a variety of projects and programs, including a successful capital campaign to enable construction of an on-site solar-powered greenhouse.

James Compton, having performed in many STAGES ST. LOUIS productions, is the new Manager of Individual Giving and Events. He will be focusing on developing STAGES ST. LOUIS’ supporters while raising the awareness of the organization in the community. Originally from Evansville, Indiana, James graduated from Webster University’s Conservatory of Theater Arts in Webster Groves and moved to New York City upon graduating. During his 15 years in New York, he previously held positions at the National Kidney Foundation, McCann Partners, 321 Theatrical Management, and Egon Zehnder International before returning to St. Louis in February.

Kristen Goodman joins STAGES after recently serving as Executive Director of Business & Marketing for Vital VOICE Omnimedia. She replaces Eric Pugh as he returns home to Ohio to work as Advertising & Promotions Manager for The Cleveland Orchestra. Kristen received her B.S. in Business Administration with emphases in Marketing and International Business from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2009. A native of Fort Collins, CO, Kristen has lived in St. Louis for over ten years now and is proud to call the Gateway City her home. Having produced countless events, shows, fundraisers, and festivals throughout the region, Kristen is an expert on creating memorable and entertaining experiences. Kristen stated, “This role combines my passion for theatre and my skills in marketing. I could not be more excited about working with STAGES.”
