NISO Holiday Pops Concert to be Held Today

By:

The Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra returns to Raue Center For The Arts for a beloved holiday tradition at 8 p.m. on December 11, 2015. Their Holiday Pops Concert provides quality orchestral music through festive combinations of contemporary and classic hits.

The Northwest Indiana Symphony is dedicated to providing quality orchestral programming that promotes opportunities for enjoyment and expands interest in and understanding of diverse music. The symphony is a cultural asset that serves as a unifying force for Northwest Indiana communities. The orchestra is a group of 75 rostered professional musicians performing under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Kirk Muspratt.

In addition to playing a full season of subscription performances, the orchestra is also dedicated to a number of educational outreach initiatives designed to allow interaction and personal involvement represented by students involved in each program.

Muspratt is recognized as one of the most outstanding figures in a new generation of conductors and was recently named a "Chicagoan of the Year" by music critic John von Rhein and the writing staff of the Chicago Tribune. This is Muspratt's fourteenth highly acclaimed season with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets start at $52 and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake. Exclusively sponsored by Home State Bank.
