Rabbit Hole by David Lindsey-Abaire won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2007 and garnered Academy and Golden Globe Award nominations for Nicole Kidman’s performance in the 2010 movie version, screenplay also by Lindsey-Abaire. After the tragic loss of their 4-year-old son in an accident, Becca and Howie must navigate their way through a sea of grief that threatens to set them adrift and tear them apart. Becca’s sister, Izzy has news that can either heal or destroy the family and their mother Nat, has some of her own ghosts to deal with. This beautifully written piece is at times heart-wrenching, but also full of humour and down-to-earth home truths and works exceptionally well as a play-reading. Circle Productions has gathered a talented cast - Kim R2 as Becca, Patrick Jordi as Howie, Rosie McBain as Izzy, Suzi Gehr as Nat and Mo Libretto as Jason, all of whom give a spirited and intelligent reading that will engage and entertain in the intimate foyer setting of the Masque Theatre.
