Coppélia at Joseph Stone Auditorium

Cape Town City Ballet presents a special abridged version of Coppélia, based on Enrico Cecchetti's original choreography with additional scenes by Nicolette Loxton and Mervyn Williams. The production features 40 young dancers from the Eoan Group and Dance for All performing alongside the company. The story follows Swanhilda as she discovers her fiancé Franz is smitten with a life-like wooden doll made by the mysterious Dr Coppélius, offering humour, romance and antics for all ages. The cast includes Shaun Ntshangana as Dr Coppelius, Alexia Munn and Bethany Reynders as Swanhilda, Luke Wragg and Fanelo Ndweni as Franz, Sinethemba Wisani as Dawn, with narration by Elvis Mcebisi Nonjeke.
