Last night, Monday, March 1, MCC Theatre hosted its starry Miscast Gala at The Hammerstein Ballroom. In attendance were Jordan Ballard, Jackie Burns, Raul Esparza, Sutton Foster, Kelsey Fowler, Montego Glover, Alison Horowitz, Anastacia McCleskey, Marin Mazzie, David Miller (Il Divo), Aaron Tveit, and Tom Wopat, host Mo Rocca, honoree Julianna Margulies, plus special guests Judith Light, Josh Charles, Quincy Tyler Bernstein, Sami Gayle and Isaac Mizrahi.

The DC area stages' theatre choices in March are dizzying! There's a new play by Terrence McNally at the Kennedy Center, and an off-Broadway gem at Signature Theatre. Adam Guettel's gorgeous Tony Award-winning harmonies will fill Arena Stage in Crystal City. Fagin and his orphans and zaftig Edna Turnblad and her daughter Tracy - will be singing and dancing at Toby's Dinner Theatre in Baltimore and Columbia, MD, and a blood-thirsty musical will be establishing roots at Ford's Theatre. American Theater Company (ATC) celebrates its 25th Anniversary with The Silver Project, a year-long festival of 30 world premiere short plays penned by some of the country's leading playwrights. The Silver Project will run over ten evenings between February 8, 2010 and June 20, 2010 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago.

Profiles Theatre announces the extension of its hit production Killer Joe by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts, directed by Steppenwolf ensemble member Rick Snyder. All cast members are continuing in their roles, including Profiles ensemble members Darrell W. Cox and Somer Benson along with Kevin Bigley, Howie Johnson and Claire Wellin.
