Miller, Wopat, et al. Join 'Miscast' with Foster, Esparza for MCC Annual Gala, 3/1

MCC Theatre has announced additions to their all-star line-up for the company's highly anticipated annual gala, to be held next Monday, March 1, 2010 at The Hammerstein Ballroom. Complementing the glittering, previously announced miscast will be Tony Award-winner David Miller (one of the original members of ‘Il Divo', Baz Luhrman's La Bohème), two time Tony Award-nominee Tom Wopat (Catch Me If You Can, A Catered Affair), Jordan Ballard (Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On, Hairspray), Jackie Burns (Hair), Kelsey Fowler (Sunday in the Park with George, Grey Gardens), Alison Horowitz (Sunday in the Park with George) and Anastacia McClesky (Catch Me If You Can, Tarzan).
This one-of-a-kind theatrical evening will also include Raul Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, Company), Sutton Foster (Tony Award winner for Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Drowsy Chaperone), Ana Gasteyer ("SNL" alumn, Wicked, The Royal Family), Montego Glover (Memphis, The Color Purple), Cheyenne Jackson (Finian's Rainbow, NBC's "30 Rock"), Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal, "Gossip Girl") and Marin Mazzie (Kiss Me, Kate, Ragtime), with many more favorites to be announced. In a first for Miscast, this year MCC will also offer unannounced, special surprise guests.This year's event honors actor Julianna Margulies, a dedicated member of MCC Theater's Board of Directors and an alumni artist who appeared in the theater's 2003 production of Intrigue with Faye. She just won a 2010 Golden Globe Award for her starring role on the CBS hit "The Good Wife" and is an Emmy Award winner for her work on the landmark NBC series, "ER." She can also be seen in the upcoming motion picture City Island. She has appeared in numerous films and television projects and throughout her career has consistently returned to the stage both on and Off Broadway. MCC Theater honors her for her commitment to taking risks as an artist and for her long-standing support of MCC's mission.
