The Marsh welcomes a new solo show to the Berkeley stage, What They Said About Love by Steve Budd, which was awarded the Best of Fringe at the 2016 San Francisco Fringe Festival. In this absorbing solo show, Steve wonders why other people can and why he can't tie the knot. Budd sheds light on how people meet and make it to the altar, the push and pull of relationships, singles who can't seem to settle down, and more. The Oakland based actor captures the physical and vocal nuances of more than a dozen Bay Area characters, using their own words taken from hours of interviews, and weaves in his relentless search for the one. What They Said About Love, directed by Mark Kenward and developed with David Ford, will be presented 8:00pm Fridays and 8:30pmSaturdays February 2-March 3, 2018 (press opening: February 9) at The Marsh Berkeley, 2120 Allston Way, Berkeley. It was a reunion for two of the lead actors from Broadway's On the Town when Tony-nominee Tony Yazbeck visited New Hope, PA to see Clyde Alves at Bucks County Playhouse. Alves plays the role of Tago in the world premiere of The New World , the musical comedy that is getting raves from critics. John Timpane of the Philadelphia Inquirer said With sneaky brilliance, beginning to end, The New World is fresh, funny, and fluid. Jean Brenner of Bucks County Herald said, Mark my words, The New World is headed to Broadway: it's special, it's funny, it's delightfully entertaining.'

Underbelly Productions have today announced full casting for a brand new production of Clarke Peters' Olivier Award-winning and Tony-Award nominated musical, Five Guys Named Moe. The production will open on 14 September 2017 in a new temporary theatre in Marble Arch, London. UNRESTRICTED The Artadia 2016 Benefit Auction took place on Wednesday, June 1 at an enchanting studio in the East Village, NY. The evening featured a silent auction, tarot card readings by Meghan Boody, personalized haiku by The Haiku Guys & Gals, and bespoke balloon art by Brooklyn Balloon Company. Dishful Catering provided bountiful Mediterranean fare and Casa Dragones Tequila served up 'Unrestricted', the evening's signature cocktail. The night ended with an inspiring live auction hosted by Sotheby's auctioneer Gabriela Palmieri.  Check out a first look at the event below!

Following critical acclaim at the Savoy Theatre, the Chichester Festival Theatre revival of Guys and Dolls transfers to the Phoenix Theatre whilst simultaneously touring the UK this spring. The West End production opened 19 March and is booking until 30 October, whilst the UK tour is running simultaneously, opening in Liverpool on 16 March and touring throughout the UK until 30 July, closing in Woking. Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys And Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend, nightclub performer Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys And Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong. Frank Loesser's brassy, immortal score makes Guys And Dolls a crowd pleaser.

The American Folklore Theatre (AFT), located in Door County, Wisconsin, is a theater company that creates musicals and plays which are based on the populist culture and heritage of the United States. They have developed such works as MULE FOR BREAKFAST AGAIN, LUMBERJACKS IN LOVE, LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS, and GUYS ON ICE. The latter is now being staged by Actors Summit.
