Photo Flash: First Look at Milwaukee Repertory Theater's GUYS ON ICE

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Stackner Cabaret Season continues with the Midwest's favorite musical, GUYS ON ICE. Deemed a "...legendary play, featuring two fine actors" by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, this ice-fishing odyssey returns to Milwaukee after thrilling audiences across Wisconsin and in Michigan, Oregon, California, Texas, and New York since 1998. This National-Geographic-Special-gone-musical-comedy features fishing buddies and home-grown philosophers Marvin and Lloyd in their natural environment: an ice shanty. They wax philosophical in songs like ""Ode to a Snowmobile Suit" and knock back a few cold brews, all while protecting their cooler from Ernie the Moocher. Nothing makes a Wisconsin winter warm like listening to the musings of Marvin and Lloyd!

The iconic cast features Doug Mancheski (Northern Sky Theater: Lumberjacks in Love, The Bachelors, Loose Lips Sink Ships, Windjammers), seen in the premiere production of GUYS ON ICE in the 1998/99 Rep Season, as Marvin; Steve Koehler (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre: Lend Me a Tenor; Skylight Music Theatre: The Sound of Music; Forward Theater: The Other Place), who has joined Doug in over 1000 performances of GUYS ON ICE since 2003, as Lloyd; and Bo Johnson (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, First Stage), in his second appearance at The Rep and GUYS ON ICE debut, as Ernie the Moocher.
