Shelter dogs throughout New York City make their Broadway debuts on the way to adoption thanks to SANDY'S RESCUE PALS, a new dog adoption partnership between the current Broadway production of Annie, the Tony Award-winning musical; Pedigree Brand; and Bobbi and the Strays. Today at intermission, Annie celebrated the official launch of Sandy's Rescue Pals at the Palace Theatre, with Bill Berloni (Tony Award-winning animal trainer) and cast members Jaidyn Young, Sadie Sink, and Brooklyn Shuck, with a rescue dog from Bobbi and the Strays' shelter. Just yesterday, Broadway's Annie, Lilla Crawford, celebrated her 12th birthday at Times Square's new Cake Boss Cafe, inspired by the hit TLC show, 'Cake Boss'. In attendance to celebrate Lilla's birthday were her fellow young Broadway stars Alex Drier (The Assembled Party, Billy Elliot), Lewis Grasso (Newsies, Ragtime), Jack Broderick (Billy Elliot, Matilda), Ava DiMary (Billy Elliot, Matilda), Emma Howard (Matilda), Sadie Sink (Annie, Tuck Everlasting), and many more.
