With a story by Callie Khouri (Oscar® winner for Writing, Thelma & Louise) and Tracey Scott Wilson, and screenplay written by Tracey Scott Wilson. Wilson and Tommy have worked together creatively since the 2009 play The Good Negro written by Wilson, directed by Tommy at The Public Theatre.

Mark Stewart, better known as 'Stew,' is noted for being a member of the band, The Negro Problem. He is also the author of the book and lyrics for 'Passing Strange,' a semi-autobiographical musical, co-written with Heidi Rodewald in collaboration with Annie Dorsen. The script is presently rocking Karamu.

The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of BUZZER, written by Tracey Scott Wilson. BUZZER marks the return of Wilson to The Public following her acclaimed The Good Negro in 2009 and The Story in 2003. Directed by Obie award winner Anne Kauffman, BUZZER will run in The Public's Martinson Theater through Sunday, April 26, with an official opening last night, April 8.

Westport Country Playhouse stages the sexy and suspenseful story of love, lies, and blackmail, 'Nora,' now through August 2, adapted by Academy Award-winning director/writer Ingmar Bergman from Henrik Ibsen's masterwork, 'A Doll's House.' The Mountaintop is written by playwright Katori Hall and will be directed by Rep Artistic Associate May Adrales, who returns to The Rep after directing last season's critically-acclaimed production of Yellowman. The Mountaintop opens tonight, September 28 and runs in The Rep's Stiemke Studio through November 4.

The New Group presents the world premiere of An Early History of Fire, a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright David Rabe. Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official Opening Night was Monday, April 30 at 7:00 PM. Was it natural disaster or man-made greed that led to the loss of 2,200 lives in 1889? Playwright Rebecca Gilman teams up with Tony Award-winning Director Robert Falls for the world premiere of A True History of the Johnstown Flood, an epic theatrical event set against the backdrop of the 1889 flood-a disaster more deadly than Hurricane Katrina. The Goodman commissioned Gilman, an acclaimed Chicago-based writer whose work 'reaches the heart and head with equal force' (Time) and has the 'ability to shake up a theater audience with the power of her ideas-and words' (Chicago Tribune), for this world premiere about love, money, class struggles and the power of theater to change lives.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, continues its 35th Season with Awake and Sing!, Clifford Odets' Tony Award-winning play, directed by Amy Morton. The production runs January 21- February 28, 2010, at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

The Yale Repertory Theatre will present Danai Gurira's ECLIPSED with an opening night of October 29th. The cast will feature Pascale Armand, Zainab Jah, Adepero Oduye, Stacey Sargeant, and Shona Tucker.

Goodman Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of Alan Gross's High Holidays directed by Steven Robman, October 31 - November 29, 2009 in the Goodman's 400-seat flexible Owen Bruner Theatre.

The Book of Lambert opened on February 14 and continues through March 1, 2009 in a limited engagement at the historic La MaMa e.t.c. as part of their Black History Month celebration.

La MaMa e.t.c. proudly presents the World Premiere of The Book of Lambert, written by Tony Award nominated and Obie/Audelco Award winning playwright Leslie Lee. The play, directed by Cyndy A. Marion, features Lucille Lortel and Obie Award winning actor Arthur French, who recently performed on Broadway in Horton Foote's Dividing The Estate. The Book of Lambert runs from February 13th to March 1st, 2009 in a limited engagement at the historic La MaMa e.t.c. as part of their Black History Month celebration. Lambert previews on February 13th and officially opens on February 14th, Valentines Day.
