Following rave reviews, Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,  announce today that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017.  Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD has its official opening this week, with a special gala performance on Saturday 30 July. The eighth story in the Harry Potter series, and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.

The premiere stage adaptation based on JK Rowling's characters may come to Broadway as early as next season.

HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD does not open at London's Palace Theatre until July 30, and already there is buzz about a future transfer to Broadway. The New York Post's Michael Riedel writes: 'Word is that Friedman and Callender are in negotiations for a Shubert theater possibly for next season. They may hit Toronto first, however.'

In a new behind-the-scenes video shared by the London production of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, actor Anthony Boyle defends his character Draco Malfoy, considered to be one of the villains in the Harry Potter saga.  

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD is currently in previews in London's West End at the Palace Theatre, where it will open on July 30. Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornily lead the cast as Harry, Hermione and Ron, as part of a company of 42 talented actors. HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD is currently in previews in the West End, with the Official Opening performances of Part One and Part Two set for Saturday 30 July 2016. Set designer Christine Jones is featured in a new behind-the-scenes video, which showcases the craftsmanship at the heart of the production, including Hogwarts' famous moving staircase. It was the meeting of the Hermiones Wednesday night, as Emma Watson and HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD star Noma Dumezweni met backstage following the performance.

After a preview incident, the live birds have been replaced with realistic props.

Previews for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child just began last night, with opening performances of Part One and Part Two set take place on Saturday July 30, but that hasn't stopped London reviewers from writing about the show.
