Tomorrow, April 25th, will mark the 32nd anniversary of the passing of vocal arranger, musical director, pianist, and musical genius James Raitt. He was only 41years old when AIDS took him from us far too soon. While James’ career was cut short, what he left us will always be a reminder of his many talents.

Jason Graae (pronounced 'grah'or 'graw', but not 'gray' is an established American musical theater actor, best known for his musical theater performances but with a varied career spanning Broadway, opera, television and film. He has won four Bistro Awards, two Ovation Awards, two New York Nightlife Awards, the Theatre Bay Area Award for Best Actor in a Musical and the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Joel Hirschhorn Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre.

Lyric Stage, a theatre company dedicated to the development and preservation of musicals, has announced its 32nd scintillating season, which includes The Rocky Horror Show, Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings, Sweet Charity, and more.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Starvox Entertainment today announced that Torontonians will be reliving the '50s this spring with Forever Plaid, the Dora Award-winning, off-Broadway musical. Back on the Toronto stage for the first time in 20 years, the hit show will be performed for audiences at David Mirvish's Panasonic Theatre (651 Yonge St.) from Tuesday, May 17 through Sunday, June 12.  Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at mirvish.com

Singer Scott Coulter joins Sheena Easton at the San Francisco Symphony July 23 for a concert of favorite Spy film music. The concert will include both instrumental-only and vocal-accompanied hits from James Bond, Austin Powers and more.
