Theatre by the Lake Announces Two-Company Ensemble for Summer Season

Artistic Director Conrad Lynch today announces the ensemble for the Theatre by the Lake's Summer Season - the first time the theatre has featured two-companies. They will perform over 5 productions in rep - After the Dance, As You Like It, Miss Julie, Handbagged and Remarkable Invisible - in both the theatre's spaces.

Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 22nd season is David Mamet's powerful, fast-paced drama AMERICAN BUFFALO. Tony-nominated director Barbara Damashek, who helmed Aurora Theatre Company's acclaimed productions of Fat Pig and Private Jokes, Public Places, returns to direct AMERICAN BUFFALO, featuring James Carpenter (John Gabriel Borkman, The Master Builder, The Birthday Party, The Homecoming), Paul Vincent O'Connor (Death Defying Acts, National Tour August: Osage County), and Rafael Jordan. Today, we're featuring Anita Gillette, circa 1981. Gillette may be most recognizable as Tina Fey's mom on 30 ROCK or as Mona, the mistress in Moonstruck. She is a Broadway veteran with 14 Broadway shows to her credit, including Chapter Two (Tony Nomination), Cabaret, Carnival, Gypsy, Guys & Dolls, Don't Drink The Water, Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Showboat. Off-Broadway and Regional credits include The Big Meal (Lortel Nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress), Love, Loss & What I Wore, The Seagull, Shirley Valentine, My Fair Lady, The Winslow Boy, Irene, South Pacific, Sweet Bird Of Youth, The Great Waltz (recorded for RCA), and Knickerbocker Holiday.
