The Mountain Play Association announces the upcoming departure of long-time executive leader Sara Pearson, from the staff of the 107-year-old nonprofit theater. Ms. Pearson stepped away from her former position as executive director in late 2018, serving as director of leadership and development in the 2019 season. Starting this winter she will continue her affiliation with the Mountain Play working as a fundraising consultant through the 2020 season. www.mountainplay.org

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the New York premiere of Netta Yerushalmy's Paramodernities, March 14-17, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The complete six-part encyclopedic series is a multidisciplinary work that weaves theory and performance into a four-hour-long hybrid event. Yerushalmy and a cast of 20 dancers and scholars, ranging in age from 20 to 68, perform deconstructed installments of Nijinsky's “Sacre” (1913), Graham's “Night Journey” (1947), Ailey's “Revelations” (1960), a mix of Cunningham works “Rainforest,” “Sounddance”, “Points in Space”, “Beach Birds”, and “Ocean” (1968-1990), dance numbers from the 1969 Fosse's film “Sweet Charity”, and a response to Balanchine's “Agon” (1957) that includes none of the original choreography.

A Spanish American War historical court room drama, The Court Martial of Almirante (Admiral) Montojo, was successfully performed off-off-Broadway last December 8, 2018 at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre on 17-19 West 45th Street. 'I was only hoping for a respectable attendance but thankfully both the matinee and evening shows were fully filled,' said Filipino playwright Dennis Posadas.

The Court Martial of Almirante Montojo historical courtroom drama takes off from US Admiral George Dewey's 1913 Scribner autobiography where he said he came to the courtroom defense of Spanish Contraalmirante Patricio Montojo after his victory in Manila Bay on 1 May 1898 one hundred and twenty years ago.
