Review: THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the Kennedy Center
by David Friscic - Sep 15, 2025

These universal themes have resonated with audiences from time immemorial---and are especially pertinent in today’s polarized times.

Written under a pseudonym before she became a blockbuster Hollywood star, THE DRAG scandalized New York audiences in 1927 with its portrayal of homosexuality, transgender characters, and drag queens.
