Palo Alto Players announced its 2026-27 season, featuring A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, CLUE, Disney's MARY POPPINS, and ON GOLDEN POND at the Lucie Stern Theater. The season begins in September 2026.

What did our critic think of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at Palm Canyon Theatre? Based on the 1973 French play of the same name by Jean Poiret, the musical gets the star treatment from composer/lyricist Jerry Herman and book by Harvey Fierstein and has become a gay cult classic since it’s Broadway debut in 1983. 

Upon sitting down to see Palm Canyon’s newest production, 'Shunned' written by Larry Parr, I was admittedly ignorant of what I was about to behold. 'Shunned' offers a compelling exploration of the Amish way of life, juxtaposing tradition against the inevitable pull of modernity. The nuanced performances of the cast bring depth to characters who are wrestling with the desire to honor their heritage while confronting personal dreams and societal change. 

Horizon Theatre Rep will continue the streaming series of German Plays from the 1910s & 1920s. The plays will be directed by Rafael De Mussa.

On June 3, Cumbancha releases the album Mista Savona Presents Havana Meets Kingston Part 2 featuring an all-star lineup of musicians from Cuba and Jamaica. On March 11th 2020 Mint Theater Company completed casting for their next production, the long delayed American premiere of Chains by Elizabeth Baker, scheduled to open that May.
