The Society for the Preservation of Theatrical History in association with New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) is pleased to present a limited run engagement of STAGE STRUCK: Reclaiming the History of Women in Theatre written and performed by Paula Ewin*, Ginger Grace*, Mari Lyn Henry, Judy Rosenblatt*, and Sandhi Santini. The Old Globe today announced its 2017-2018 Season, which will kick off with the world premiere musical Benny & Joon, with book by Kirsten Guenther, music by Nolan Gasser, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.

Due to popular demand, Shattered Globe Theatre's hit Chicago premiere of Sarah Ruhl's FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70th BIRTHDAY will add one additional week of performances, extending through May 27, 2017 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.  Directed by Jessica Thebus, the imaginative and moving drama was written for Ruhl's mother, Kathleen Ruhl, who stars in the Shattered Globe production. In response to critical acclaim and popular demand, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere, Soho Rep. commission of Richard Maxwell's Samara through May 14.

Villanova Theatre proudly presents a workshop production of The Gambler, written by Villanova University's Charles A. Heimbold Chair in Irish Studies and renowned playwright Owen McCafferty and directed by Philadelphia favorite David Bradley. In this provocative new piece, McCafferty brilliantly transforms Fyodor Dostoevsky's classic novella for the stage. Audiences will be transported by a whirlwind of love, gambling, and politics as our narrator spins the roulette wheel, inviting audiences to 'take a chance' on the unexpected. The Gambler is on stage April 26-30, 2017.

Rehearsals began this week for the revival of John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') as Paul. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will begin previews Wednesday, April 5 prior to the official opening on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Barrymore Theatre. The production will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

At the Mezzanine Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 W 53rd Street), Soho Rep. is pleased to present the world premiere of Richard Maxwell's Samara, commissioned by Artistic Director Sarah Benson. In a departure, Maxwell, who has directed nearly all 20 of his plays, is handing over the directorial duties to Benson. Maxwell's work was seen previously at Soho Rep. in 2001 with Cavemen and in 1999 with Cowboys and Indians.

B Street Theatre will present the World Premiere of Going West: The Story of the Transcontinental Railroad as the third production in the 2016 - 2017 Family Series Season.
