Cutting Ball Theater opens its 17th season with LIFE IS A DREAM by Pedro Calderon de la Barca. Following the sold-out success of last season's Antigone, Acting Artistic Director Paige Rogers (Tontlawald, Mud) helms this Calderon classic, in a new translation from resident playwright Andrew Saito, commissioned by Cutting Ball. Featuring David Sinaiko, Asher Sinaiko, Grace Ng, Sango Tajima, Matthew Hannon, Michael Wayne Turner III, Peter Warden, and Barry Despenza, LIFE IS A DREAM plays October 2 through November 1 (press opening: October 8) at the Cutting Ball Theater in residence at EXIT on Taylor (277 Taylor Street) in San Francisco.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced that David Denson will direct the Main Stage production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons (April 17 - May 10, 2015). Performances take place tonight, November 19, 2014 and Friday, November 21, 2014 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 2 p.m., in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater. Marin Theatre Company artistic director Jasson Minadakis, managing director Michael Barker and director of new play development Margot Melcon announced today the winners of MTC's two new American play prizes, a program now in its seventh year. Skeleton Crew by Dominique Morisseau won the 2014 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and Martyna Majok won the 2014 David Calicchio Emerging American Playwright Prize for her play Ironbound. The winners were selected from over 900 eligible submissions.
