The '70s and '80s television pop-culture classic, “Battle of the Network Stars” (which premiered from ABC Sports in 1976 and continued for 13 years), will be revived when it returns to television on THURSDAY, JUNE 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the world premiere production ofPass Over by Antoinette Nwandu, directed by Danya Taymor. Opera at Caramoor (photo: Gabe Palacio) This summer marks not only the 20th anniversary, but also the final season of 'Bel Canto at Caramoor,' the program founded by Director of Opera Will Crutchfield to champion neglected bel canto operas and re-interpret familiar ones. To honor the program's legacy, Caramoor launches the summer season with a gala selection of bel canto's greatest hits in 'A Night of Italian Opera' (June 17) and presents a semi-staged account of Bellini's first bel canto masterpiece, Il pirata (July 8). Mounted in the superb acoustics of the outdoor Venetian Theater on Caramoor's idyllic Westchester estate, both events feature the resident Orchestra of St. Luke's and showcase the exceptional artistry of 2017 Artist-in-Residence Angela Meade - 'the most talked-about soprano of her generation' (Opera News) - who first catapulted to national attention in the title role of Bellini's Norma at Caramoor seven years ago. Some of the Great White Way's most esteemed community theater alumni will go back to their earliest roots upstate over Memorial Day weekend when Starry, Starry Night is staged on Saturday, May 27th. The one-night-only event is a benefit for STS Playhouse, a community theater located in the heart of the Catskills.

San Francisco Ballet, long recognized for pushing boundaries in dance, has announced its 2017-18 Season program and schedule. Steppenwolf's LookOut Series has announced a slate of programming for spring curated by two of Chicago's most talented and prolific theater artists: Actor/Playwright/Musician Sandra Delgado and Actor/Director Sandra Marquez, who is also a Steppenwolf ensemble member.
