The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Tony-Nominated Director Randal Myler and multi-talented Music Director Dan Wheetman return to Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC) to create a new vision for Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn after setting the bar high with Hank Williams: Lost Highway last spring and John Denver Holiday Concert in 2012. From April 9 to 13 at HERE Arts Center, actor Adam Boncz will perform 'Fatelessness,' the first stage adaptation of the novel of the same name by Imre Kertesz, recipient of the 2002 Nobel Prize in Literature. The book is the story of a Hungarian teenage boy who survives a passage through three WWII concentration camps. The play is a 75-minute rendition of the book, adapted verbatim by Andras Visky from the translation by Tim Wilkinson. Gia Forakis directs.

The Classical Recording Foundation (CRF) is pleased to announce the 2013 winners of its twelfth annual Classical Recording Foundation Awards. Four prizes will be presented at the Foundation's Annual Awards Concert and Benefit at 7:30pm on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. The event will feature CRF Young Artist of the Year pianist Roman Rabinovich performing selections from his CD Ballets Russes (Orchid; March 2013), pianist Laura Leon performing works by CRF Composer of the Year Peter Schickele's album The Music of Peter Schickele, Samuel Sanders Collaborative Artists Award winners Hsin-Yun Huang and Sarah Rothenberg in selections from their recording Viola Viola (Bridge; November 2012); andClassical Recording Foundation Award winner, cellist Sophie Shao, performing selections from her upcoming double-CD set of J.S. Bach's Cello Suites. The proceeds from the 2013 Classical Recording Foundation Award Ceremony and Benefit will go toward the 2014 Awards.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Broadway opening of Weill's One Touch of Venus. Ted Chapin hosts a stellar cast featuring Melissa Errico, Brent Barrett, Judy Blazer, and Ron Raines, plus winners of the international Lotte Lenya Competition.

The tenth anniversary Deer Valley Music Festival's fourth week will include offerings of classical, bluegrass and folk-rock music with the Utah Symphony. Keith Lockhart, Utah Symphony Music Director from 1998 through 2009 and Boston Pops conductor since 1995, will return to the Festival to conduct the Utah Symphony at the three performances.
