Tommy Nohilly's BLOOD FROM A STONE opens tonight, May 7, at The Electric Lodge in its West Coast premiere engagement.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced yesterday details of the dynamic new offerings from Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine for the 2016 summer season. Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine developed with the LA Phil, local restaurateurs James Beard Award-winning chef Suzanne Goin and business partner Caroline Styne of The Lucques Group, and Sodexo Sports & Leisure will offer patrons a broad range of enticing new culinary experiences. The vision is brought to life by Goin and Styne, whose restaurants, Lucques, a.o.c., Tavern and the Larder, have defined Los Angeles culinary tastes since 1998. Executive Chef Jeff Rogers will execute Goin's creative concepts and continue to push the boundaries for this quintessential music and dining experience in Los Angeles over the next ten years.

On its first ever national tour, Torben Bett's smash-hit class comedy, Invincible comes to Birmingham Repertory Theatre from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 May.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Doris Roberts, best known for her Emmy-winning role on the sitcom EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, passed away Sunday, April 17, in Los Angeles. She was 90 years old.

Jude Law stars in GENIUS, based on A. Scott Berg's National Book Award-winning biography, Max Perkins: Editor of Genius. Directed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Grandage (REDS), the film hits theaters June 10th.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premier nonprofit professional regional theatre, just announced full casting for their eagerly anticipated production of Margaret Edson's Wit. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play will be led by Broadway's Judy McLane (Vivan Bearing, Ph.D) and feature Tony Award®-winner Daisy Eagan (Susie Monahan, R.N., B.S.N.). In Shakespeare's 400th anniversary year, Cheek by Jowl today announce that their critically acclaimed Russian language production of Measure for Measure will open the 2016 Shakespeare Festival at Hamlet's Castle, Kronborg, Elsinore, with performances from 1 to 7 August. The festival will also celebrate a landmark anniversary, marking the 200th year of performing Shakespeare in this traditional setting.
