Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is one of 10 presenters in the U.S. to receive a 2017 National Education and Engagement Grant from the Broadway League. With the funding, STG is partnering with Melodic Caring Project (MCP) and Disney Theatrical Productions to share the artistry and joy of the hit Broadway musical Aladdin with children in local hospitals.

Woody Allen's stage musical based on his Academy Award-winning film - a hilarious and high stepping homage to both the gangster films and movie musicals of the 1930's - will be staged for the first time by a Chicago company when NightBlue Performing Arts opens its production of the musical on Monday, September 11, following previews from Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10.  Press opening is Monday, September 11 at 7:30 pm. BULLETS OVER BROADWAY will run through Sunday, October 8 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Mint Theater resumes the acclaimed Teresa Deevy Project with The Suitcase Under the Bed, so named for the location where Deevy's writing was stored for decades, prior to Jonathan Bank's arrival at the Deevy family home in Waterford in 2010.

MNM Productions' Company is the latest venture by theatrical producers and arts consultants Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz. Company is their sixth major musical following A Chorus Line, Side By Side By Sondheim, Hair, The World Goes 'Round and, most recently, Monty Python's Spamalot. Shakespeare & Company presents A Perfect Pair of Wharton Comedies. Based on short stories originally penned by the Berkshires' legendary Edith Wharton, Roman Fever and The Fullness of Life have been adapted by Shakespeare & Company Founding Member and Training Director Dennis Krausnick. The Wharton Comedies will run at the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre as part of their 2017 season August 17 through September 10.

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park presents Noel Coward's classic comedy Private Lives, directed by Emily Heugatter the production runs August 17 through August 27 at 2920 Paseo in the Paseo Arts District.
