Washington Performing Arts has announce its 2023/24 Season with the theme of Together in Art and Community, running from September 2023 through June 2024 in nine venues across the Washington, D.C., region.

Matthew Bourne's 'Cinderella' from New Adventures, presented by Center Theatre Group is now on stage at the Ahmanson Theatre through March 10, 2019.

Tickets and subscription packages are now available for the upcoming blockbuster 2018-2019 Vancouver Opera's Season & Festival. The Season opens with Lehar's The Merry Widow (Die Lustige Witwe), an Art Nouveau-inspired comedic operetta (October 20-28, 2018, Queen Elizabeth Theatre) and continues with Puccini's much-loved La Boheme (February 14-24, 2019, Queen Elizabeth Theatre).

Following the critical and public triumph of Roberto Devereux, Lohengrin and most recently Tristan and Isolde, Melbourne Opera will next stage Richard Strauss' romantic comedy Der Rosenkavalier, not seen in Melbourne for 16 years, at the beautiful Athenaeum Theatre from 9 - 17 August.

Due to Hurricane Harvey, Houston Ballet is unable to perform the opening two productions at the company's home venue. However, Houston Ballet is pleased to report that select performances of fall programming have been rescheduled at THE HOBBY CENTER - SAROFIM HALL. Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced the 2016-2017 season. The 59th season will open with the full length, lighthearted Shakespearian frolic, A Midsummer Night's Dream, choreography by Bruce Wells with music by Felix Mendelssohn.

When the Sadler's Wells (now the Royal Ballet) first performed "Cinderella" on its triumphant 1949 debut performance at the old Metropolitan Opera, John Martin, the eminent New York Times dance critic, was not engrossed. He wrote that it was difficult to be enthusiastic about it, but "if it were stripped of all its dead wood, both musical and choreographic, it would run considerably less than the two and a half hours it now undertakes to fill."

The programs take place on a series of Sunday at 3 p.m. in the auditorium. All performances are free and open to the public. This series is made possible by an Arts Builds Communities (ABC) grant from the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission in cooperation with the Tennessee Arts Commission.
