Performances of Boston Playwrights' Theatre's (BPT) Lost Tempo begin next week.

Here is the performance schedule for South Coast Repertory for the four-month period of October 2017-January 2018.

Morris-Jumel is proud to announce a terrific and timely new exhibit of the famed New Yorker cartoonist, Charles Addams, for the Fall/Winter 2017 season. Charles Addams Family and Friends will explore family values, rearing of children, entertaining and family outings. Additionally, the exhibition looks at New York and presidential life and will feature memorabilia as well as other Addams ephemera. The opening reception is, appropriately, on Friday October 13th at 6PM at the Morris-Jumel Mansion, 65 Jumel Terrace, New York City. The exhibit will run until February 18th. The New York Philharmonic will present Bernstein's Philharmonic: A Centennial Festival, October 25-November 14, 2017,celebrating the former Philharmonic Music Director and Laureate Conductor on the centennial of his birth. The festival - which is part of the worldwide salute to the legacy of the renowned composer, conductor, pianist, and educator - will center on Bernstein's symphonic cycle, conducted by Alan Gilbert and Leonard Slatkin, complemented by other Bernstein works as well as by music by composers he admired and championed. In addition, the Philharmonic will present a Young People's Concert - the series that Bernstein famously brought to national attention through the television broadcasts - titled Inspirations and Tributes: "Celebrating Leonard Bernstein," conducted by Leonard Slatkin and featuring pianist Makoto Ozone on November 11. A number of other events - ranging from a marathon of Bernstein's Mahler recordings to a partnership with Harvard and University of Michigan to explore Bernstein as an educator and conductor - complement the concerts throughout the centennial season. Bernstein served as the Philharmonic's Music Director from 1958 to 1969, when he was named Laureate Conductor, a title he held until his death in 1990.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) will be the first theater in the nation to present "The Next Big Thing," a new musical by composer Gerald H. Bailey and lyricist/book writer J. Laurence Lowenstein. "The Next Big Thing," a musical that has been in development around the East Coast for the past five years, will be directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa with musical direction by Thomas Conroy, who also has orchestrated the score and will conduct.

The outstanding new CNN Films documentary The Reagan Show uses archival footage of President Ronald Reagan, much of it documented by U.S. Naval Photographic unit for the White House and maintained by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. The documentary has inspired a week-long film series at Museum of the Moving Image. The series The Ronald Reagan Picture Show, which runs August 25 through 30, includes a special screening of The Reagan Show (on August 30) followed by a discussion with filmmakers Sierra Pettengill and Pacho Velez, CNN senior media correspondent and host of Reliable Sources Brian Stelter, and presidential historian Tim Naftali. During the weekend prior to this screening, the Museum will present rare screenings of some of Ronald Reagan's most memorable film roles, all presented in 35mm.  

Two hundred photos and videos by sixty two leading LGBTI artists (twenty four Australian and thirty eight international) will be exhibited at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) from Saturday 14 October until Sunday 3 December 2017.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film's 33rd Powerhouse Season celebrates the opening of its highly anticipated musical workshop production of The Secret Life of Bees tonight, July 27, at 8 p.m. at the Vogelstein Center for Drama & Film, with performances continuing on Friday, July 28, Saturday, July 29, and Sunday, July 30. This is the final weekend of the season.

The Theatre Group at SBCC opens the 17/18 season with Cole Porter's sparkling musical, HIGH SOCIETY, July 12-29 in the Garvin Theatre. 

Based in Israel, Roy Assaf Dance makes its U.S. debut with a program of clever and heartfelt works in the Doris Duke Theatre July 12-16. A rising choreographic star, Assaf has been commissioned by companies across the globe including Batsheva Dance Company, The Royal Swedish Ballet, National Dance Company Wales, and LA Dance Project. The program opens with Assaf's embracing duet Six Years Later which is praised for its "beauty, nuances, and intricate, astute movements" (Ora Brafman, Jerusalem Post), and closes with his powerful all-male trio The Hill, inspired by veterans' experiences and based on the Hebrew song "Givat Hatachmoshet".
