With four-part harmonies by Cy Coleman (Sweet Charity, Barnum, The Will Rogers Follies) and lyrics by David Zippel (The Goodbye GIrl, Disney's Hercules, Disney's Mulan), City of Angels went on to win numerous honors in 1990, including the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and The New York Drama Critics Circle awards for best musical. Opening tonight, June 7th, and running for three weekends through Sunday, June 23rd, curtain times will be at 8:00 p.m. todays and Saturdays, with 2:30 p.m. matinees offered on Sundays. Following its acclaimed 16-week run at the Lookingglass Theatre Company this fall, Metamorphoses brings the mythical tales of Ovid to life at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, 10 years after the Broadway premiere. Written and directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman, Metamorphoses is based on David Slavitt's translation and marks the first time Zimmerman will direct the production since its Broadway run. This is also the first time Zimmerman will stage Metamorphoses in the round, and a custom set will be designed with the largest pool of water ever created for this production. Metamorphoses dives onto the Fichandler Stage tonight, February 8-March 17, 2013.

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint announced today that the theatre has postponed their scheduled production of Clever Little Lies, penned by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, which was to star award-winning actress Marlo Thomas. Mark St. Germain's critically-acclaimed play The Best of Enemies, originally produced by Barrington Stage Company, will take its place in the New Brunswick theatre's season, running November 29 - December 23.

In December 2010, Four Seasons Theatre (FST), in partnership with Madison Theatre Guild, will present a 10th anniversary production of The Spitfire Grill, a musical with Wisconsin roots. Written by American Folklore Theatre's Fred Alley and James Valcq, THE SPITFIRE GRILL is the story of Percy, a feisty parolee who follows her dreams to a small town in Wisconsin. As the story unfolds, each resident of Gilead learns the true meaning of friends, family, and home.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting details for Circle Mirror Transformation which will be performed in the Studio Theatre, November 4 - 21, 2010. The cast features Lynn Blackburn as Theresa, Kayla Carlyle as Lauren, Lisa Hassler as Marty, Bill Jenkins as James and Ted Wold as Schultz.
