Multimedia Production RED LETTER JESUS Set for Provision Theater, 9/6-10/13

Non-profit Provision Theater Company launches its 2013-2014 season with Red Letter Jesus, a deeply moving new show of Jesus' words from the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) performed with an original multimedia presentation, including stunning videography captured throughout Israel and Jordan. The production will run September 6 through October 13 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. at Provision Theater, 1001 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL.

Red Letter Jesus stars Atlanta-based actor Brad Sherrill. Sherrill was selected by Atlanta Magazine in 2000 as Atlanta's Best Dramatic Actor and by Creative Loafing (another Atlanta publication) in 2001 as Atlanta's Best Actor. He has performed in over 20 productions at Atlanta's ALLIANCE THEATRE and is an Artistic Associate for the Georgia Shakespeare Theatre where he has acted in 50 productions over 24 seasons. Red Letter Jesus had its theatrical premiere at the Theatre in the Square (Atlanta, 2012) and is currently on a U.S. tour.

Sherrill devotes eight months of the year to the ongoing U.S. tour of his faith-based theater work. Red Letter Jesus, which includes an original visual presentation from Israel and Jordan created by his collaborator and multimedia designer Mark Hickman, is Sherrill's third live theatrical offering based on biblical texts. Sherrill has performed The Gospel of John over 600 times, including a run off-Broadway. He also recently premiered his original adaptation of Prophets, based on the texts of Isaiah and Jeremiah, at Georgia Shakespeare (Atlanta, 2010.)

'Red Letter Jesus' runs Friday September 6 through Sunday October 13, 2013; Showtimes Fridays & Saturdays 8 pm; Sundays 3 pm at The Provision Theater, located at at 1001 W. Roosevelt Rd. Chicago, IL.
