Ella Mai, the New York City Ballet's production of "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker," Rob Thomas and the Radio City Rockettes have been added to the list of spectacular performances slated for this year's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center®" telecast on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. 

Rebecca Lock's previous work includes Mamma Mia!, Avenue Q, Mary Poppins and Heathers The Musical. She's currently starring as Lilli Vanessi in Kiss Me, Kate, beginning at Sheffield Crucible on 7 December.

Macy Medford and Arden Guice may only be college students, but their performances as Violet and Daisy Hilton, the heroines of Side Show - the iconic musical by Bill Russell, Henry Krieger and Bill Condon that debuted on Broadway some 20 years ago - in Belmont University Musical Theatre's production that runs for just one weekend, are nothing less than a professional triumph for each young woman. Thoroughly committed and startlingly focused, Medford and Guice perform an oftentimes tricky, always challenging, task in order that the two young women effectively become their characters, ensuring the musical packs an emotional wallop delivered straight to the collective heart of its audience, while showcasing the evolution of a musical theatre program at the Nashville university, which over the years has gained a national reputation as the training ground of the next generations of Broadway stars yet to be.

The most wonderful time of the year kicks off with the annual lighting of New York City's famous tree on NBC's “Christmas in Rockefeller Center®” on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. The evening will include festive performances by Diana Ross, Tony Bennett & Diana Krall, Brett Eldredge, Darci Lynne Farmer, Diana Krall, John Legend, Martina McBride, Pentatonix and Kellie Pickler, with a special appearance by Howie Mandel. Additional acts to be announced. NBC's “Today” anchors Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Craig Melvin will co-host the highly anticipated holiday special.  

During the 1940s and '50s, composer and jazz pianist Bobby Troup was getting his kicks writing songs like the classic "Route 66." Over that same period, Scotty Bowers was getting his kicks as "Hollywood's Gentleman Hustler" and Los Angeles' legendary "Pimp to the Stars." Now, New York-based cabaret star JEFF MACAULEY, who for three consecutive years (2016-2018) has been nominated for the MAC Award as "Best Male Vocalist," is connecting the stories of these two men and performing the best of the Bobby Troup Songbook in his new show: WHERE DID THE GENTLEMAN GO? THE SONGS OF BOBBY TROUP & THE LIFE OF SCOTTY BOWERS.

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents Sergei Prokofiev's charming children's classic Peter & the Wolf.Isaac Mizrahi narrates and directs as Brad Lubman (Dec 1-2) and Oliver Hagen (Dec 7-9) conduct Ensemble Signal and a cast wearing costumes by Mizrahi performs choreography by John Heginbotham, bringing the 30-minute story to life for the young and young at heart.

Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II touched off an earthquake in Musical Theater with their 1927 musicalized version of Edna Ferber's 'Show Boat.'  A new iteration of 'Show Boat' has shoved off from the dock inside the MTH Theater on the third level of Crown Center for what will be pleased audiences.

A 1930s comedy for Christmas, Jeannie by rediscovered female playwright Aimee Stuart will open at the Finborough Theatre for a four-week limited season on Tuesday, 27 November 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 29 November and Friday, 30 November 2018 at 7.30pm).

Kicking off their incredible 34th season, The Hampton Theatre Company (HTC) offers Ken Ludwig's hysterical play A Comedy Of Tenors. This comedy farce is actually a sequel to Mr. Ludwig's Tony nominated play Lend Me A Tenor and the wonderful cast at HTC certainly delivers. Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, is proud to present in its 86th season the 1937 Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy, You Can't Take It With You. Written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, You Can't Take It With You will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from October 20th through November 10th, 2018.

I decided to do our Much Ado with a company of women. It's a playful riposte to the numerous all-male productions of Shakespeare's - and indeed our own - time. And a wonderful opportunity to give women - including skilled, experienced 'older' women - a chance to play this rich range of parts.

Portland Opera is thrilled to begin the 2018/19 season with Verdi's La Traviata.  A crown jewel of grand opera, La Traviata tells the story of the brilliant and beautiful Parisian courtesan Violetta Valery as she falls in love with Alfredo Germont. Haunted by her reputation and illness, Violetta navigates sexual politics and confronts societal expectations as she braves a broken heart. Portland Opera will present four performances of La Traviata on November 2, 4 (matinee), 8, and 10 at the Keller Auditorium.

The production opens on 1 October, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 17 November.
