World-Class Artists Donate Work to Tribeca Film Festival Winners

The 2013 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, today announced the participants of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Awards Program, sponsored by CHANEL. Twelve contemporary artists will donate their artwork to be presented to the filmmakers whose films are selected by the TFF jury as winners in their respective categories.

Playwright/Actor Michael Raver's latest work, FIRE ON BABYLON, will have its first full reading on Monday, January 28th at 8pm at The Cell - A Twenty-First Century Salon (338 West 23rd Street). Jeffrey Hayenga (Broadway: THE ELEPHANT MAN) and Raver (Off-Broadway: THE PERSIANS) star. Edwin Cahill (Broadway: LOVEMUSIK) directs, with Jason Najjoum producing.

Today, world-renowned celebrity photography duo, MARKUS + INDRANI announced they will be supporting New York Says Thank You Foundation (NYSTY), a non-profit organization founded to commemorate the love and ongoing support given to New Yorkers by Americans following 9/11. MARKUS + INDRANI, will be supporting NYSTY's Hurricane Sandy First Responder Rebuilding Fund through sales of their exhibition prints. The iconic images will be on display during their December 11th, 2012 ICONS Exhibition & Book launch event at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall as well as available for public viewing on December 12th and 13th at the David Rubenstein Atrium.

Secret Cinema to Bring LIVE CINEMA to NYC in Fall 2012

On the heels of its most groundbreaking production to date, in which a Central London Warehouse was converted into a futuristic spaceship in which Ridley Scott's smash hit Prometheus was staged throughout the month of June, Secret Cinema has announced plans to stage its first ever New York production in the Fall of 2012. For the first time, New Yorkers will be able to experience this unique form of "Live Cinema," the format defined by Future Cinema - creators of Secret Cinema. Live Cinema allows the filmgoer to step inside the film and creates a unique experience and journey, far beyond a traditional 2D or 3D viewing experience. The line between actor and audience member is blurred.
