Playwright/Actor Michael Raver's latest work, FIRE ON BABYLON, will have its first full reading tonight, January 28th at 8pm at The Cell - A Twenty-First Century Salon (338 West 23rd Street). Jeffrey Hayenga (Broadway: THE ELEPHANT MAN) and Raver (Off-Broadway: THE PERSIANS) star. Edwin Cahill (Broadway: LOVEMUSIK) directs, with Jason Najjoum producing.

On the heels of the acclaimed Sonnet Repertory Theatre / Signature Theatre Center production of his adaptation of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, Michael Raver brings us a story of two New Yorkers locked in personal crisis while the city is having one of its own: the 2003 Blackout. Hugo (Hayenga), a famous middle-aged author, invites Christian (Raver), a beguiling twenty-something, to his downtown apartment after they hit it off in an online chat room. Mere moments pass, and it becomes clear to each that the other is much more than meets the eye. When Hugo's apartment is plunged into darkness, they connect in ways neither had ever thought possible.

Please join us for a compelling evening of theatre by one of Manhattan's most exciting and unique young playwrights. For more information, please email assistant@jasonnajjoum.com. Admission is free.

The Cell is accessible via the A, C, E, 1,2,3 trains to 23rd St.
