Mint Theater to Host Special EnrichMINT Event for THE NEW MORALITY

In honor of the centenary of Harold Chapin's heroic death on the battlefield in 1915 and their revival of Chapin's The New Morality, Mint Theater Company will present a free, one-night event titled Soldier and Dramatist: A Centennial Commemoration on Monday, September 28th at 7pm. Selections from Chapin's beautifully touching letters home will be performed by Christian Coulson, Joe Delafield, Ben Diskant, Andrew Fallaize, and Ned Noyes. Mint's Associate Director Jesse Marchese will curate and direct the evening which will feature an introduction by George Robb, Professor of History at William Patterson University.  (more...)

Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey, today announces the full cast for a major revival of Jim Cartwright's The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Opening in the Anthony Hopkins Theatre on Tuesday 10 October, with previews from Thursday 5 October, the company will be led by Theatr Clwyd Associate, Catrin Aaron, in the lead role of Little Voice. She will be joined by Victoria John (Sadie), Christian Patterson (Mr Boo/Phone Man), Nicola Reynolds (Mari Hoff), Simon Holland Roberts (Ray Say) and Joseph Tweedale (Billy). The King of Chelm is written by Boris Zilberman and directed by the acclaimed Israeli actor/director Gera Sandler. The production features original score by composer Dmitri 'Zisl' Slepovitch, with arrangement by Alex Ryaboy. Stage and multimedia design by L2CoLAB. The King of Chelm will run from November 14 - 29, 2015 at the Kraine Theatre (85 East 4th Street, NYC). Theatr Clwyd Announces 2017 Summer and Autumn Seasons

As she completes her first year as Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey today announces the 2017 Summer and Autumn seasons for the company. These include four world premieres; BoHo, a co-production with Hijinx Theatre which features both learning disabled and non-disabled actors, and, after a successful collaboration on the production of Love Lies and Taxidermy, Theatr Clwyd reunites with Paines Plough to open the 2017 Roundabout Season with co-productions of Black Mountain, Out Of Love and How To Be A Kid in collaboration with the Orange Tree Theatre. The Theatr Clwyd and Sheffield Theatres co-production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Welsh Playwright Peter Gill, will be directed by Harvey and will open at Clwyd from the 21 September ahead of transferring to Sheffield Theatres as part of Robert Hastie's inaugural season.
