Timber Lake Playhouse, located in Mt. Carroll, Ill., the professional, non-profit summer theatre company established in 1961 with a mission of 'providing the best expression of theater arts to the regional community by presenting creative works that entertain and inspire while helping aspiring artists transition to the profession,' has announced today the appointment of award-winning director and choreographer Paul Stancato as Artistic Director for the 2018-19 season.

BAM presents The New York premiere of physical theater virtuoso James Thierr e's La grenouille avait raison (The Toad Knew) for three nights only, tonight, Oct 12, through Oct 14, at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave). This hallucinatory tale of subterranean siblings evokes fairy tales and Thierr e's own storied performance history.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that Lauren Ambrose will be Eliza Doolittle, Harry Hadden-Paton will be Henry Higgins, Norbert Leo Butz will be Alfred P. Doolittle, and Diana Rigg will be Mrs. Higgins in its upcoming production ofLerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher.

3-D Theatricals (3DT) rings in its 2017-1018 season at both the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center (RBPAC) and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, a musical comedy from the Broadway creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash hit The Producers. The production, with music and lyrics by Brooks and a book by Thomas Meehan, is a hilariously tuneful show based on the 1974 smash hit film Young Frankenstein which was a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. David Lamoureux directs with Corey Hirsch serving as Musical Director and Daniel Smith as Choreographer. Dino Nicandros* stars as Frederick Frankenstein with Danny Blaylock as The Monster , Julia Aks as Inga , Erik Scott Romney as Igor/Victor Frankenstein , Tracy Rowe Mutz* as Frau Blucher , Ashley Fox Linton* as Elizabeth , and Richard Gould* as Inspector Kemp/Hermit . *Denotes members of Actors Equity Association.

Syracuse Stage, Central New York's premiere professional theatre, will host one pay-what-you-will performance for each show in its 2017/2018 season. There will be 76 tickets available for whatever price patrons wish to pay. The first three pay-what-you-will performances are on the following dates:

TAO: Drum Heart closes the season with their world tour of large-scale Japanese taiko drumming, dance and martial arts.

Celebrating the power of Jacob's Pillow's natural setting, internationally acclaimed dance company Pilobolus Dance Theater will premiere a new work commissioned specifically for the Pillow's iconic outdoor Inside/Out performance space, set against the Berkshire hills. The program featuring the world premiere and On the Nature of Things will kick off the Festival's 2017 free Inside/Out performance series with an extended three-day run, June 21-23.
