Howard Hawks, the quintessential Hollywood director known for his mastery of many genres, will be the subject of a complete retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image from today, September 7 through November 10, 2013. The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra today announced the cast for On Broadway with Kander & Ebb: Celebrating Chicago, Cabaret and All That Jazz, a world premiere pops production of music from legendary and award-winning composers, John Kander (b. 1927) and Fred Ebb (1928-2004). Created by ISO Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly, On Broadway with Kander & Ebb opens the Indianapolis Symphony's Printing Partners Pops Series for the 2013-2014 season on Friday andSaturday, Oct. 4 and 5, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in downtown Indianapolis.

Denver, Colo.- As its final presentation of the 2013 Festival, Central City Opera (CCO) will feature a new production of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's glorious American musical, Show Boat, in Denver at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The production opens on August 6 with seven performances running through August 11. Show Boat will be performed in English.

After more than eight years, the historic Saenger Theatre will proudly reopen its doors this fall with a grand opening celebration, featuring a lineup of performances commemorating the city's love for live entertainment of all kinds. The initial announcement includes a variety of entertainment beginning on Sept. 28 and continuing through Jan. 10 of 2014. Additional performances will be announced as they are confirmed. The Saenger Theatre is currently undergoing a $52 million restoration led by the City of New Orleans, Canal Street Development Corporation, and ACE Theatrical Group.
