(ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce the west coast premiere of  THE SNOW GEESE by Sharr White (The Other Place), directed by Independent Shakespeare Co.'s Managing Director David Melville.  THE SNOW GEESE will begin previews on Saturday, March 11, will open on Friday, March 17 at 7:30pm and performs through Sunday, April 9 at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #168 in Atwater Village.

Tom Stoppard is the kind of playwright who is so clever that it almost feels like he's showing off. Travesties is one such example of Stoppard's brilliance, as he seamlessly combines past and present, reality and fiction in an inventive and Wildean play that, believe it or not, was inspired by real events.

By producing two great theatre classics in rotating repertory, Cygnet is once again raising the bar for San Diego theaters. The monumental task of directing both The Importance of Being Earnest and Travesties will be handled by Artistic Director Sean Murray.
