Hub Theatre Company of Boston concludes its seventh season with an ambitious undertaking, the time-bending, courtroom dramatic comedy, THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT by Pulitzer Prize winning and Tony Award nominated playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. Boston audiences will recognize his name from two acclaimed productions at SpeakEasy Stage Company in recent years, THE MOTHERf**kER WITH THE HAT and BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY. First staged Off-Broadway at The Public Theater in 2005, THE LAST DAYS is set in Hope, a corner of Purgatory, where a trial is being held to determine Judas' fate: should he ascend to Heaven, or remain in Hell for his crime of betraying Jesus?

All at once a sharp and powerful tale of family, gentrification, and social injustice, COAL MINE THEATRE is proud to announce its upcoming presentation of Stephen Adly Guirgis's Pulitzer Prize-winning BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY, directed by Gina Wilkinson Prize-winner Kelli Fox. The play, making its long-awaited Toronto Premiere, features remarkable performances by leading talent like Claire Armstrong, Sergio Di Zio, Allegra Fulton, Jai Jai Jones, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Nabil Rajo, and Alexander Thomas. Presented at COAL MINE THEATRE, November 24 - December 22, 2019 (Opening night November 27).

With its original run almost sold out, Steep Theatre has added eight more performances of Calamity West's Hinter. Called 'taut, complex and a bloody good time" by Alex Huntsberger of TimeOut Chicago, this thrilling new play has enthralled audiences and critics alike. Hinter will run through Saturday, March 17.

Today we celebrate the life and career of actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away on this day in 2014. Beloved by audiences, and colleagues, Hoffman's death shook the artistic community. For his numerous contributions to the theatre, theatre owners dimmed the lights on Broadway in his memory.

West has quickly emerged as an important Chicago playwright, with recent acclaimed productions of her works Rolling (Jackalope Theatre) and Give It All Back (Sideshow Theatre).
